Dr Ghansham Rawtani

Among few dedicated thyroid surgeons in Pakistan and Dr Ghansham Rawtani is one of finest thyroid surgeon, based in Karachi Pakistan. Thyroid and parathyroid are endocrine glands situated in front of neck and control body metabolism (chemical reactions) and calcium level.

Dr Rawtani did his MBBS from LUMHS Jamshoro and FCPS from Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Karachi. Later he was also awarded with MRCPS by royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow and FACS by American College of Surgery. He started his career in specialization of thyroid and parathyroid surgery in 2016 and he started his dedicated work in this specialized field. Because of his keen interest in thyroid surgery he joined Dr Naseem Baloch for further training and specialization in the field of thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Dr Ghansham Rawtani is a high volume thyroid surgeon with vast experience in all aspects of thyroid and parathyroid surgeries including cancer surgeries and lymph nodes dissection. His average annual thyroid surgeries are 110 to 120 cases with international compatible complication rate (less than 01%). Dr Rawtani is also supervisor for the surgical training. He is very interested in teaching, training and research in the field of surgery.

Dr Rawtani is a regularly attendees of TIRO international by THANC foundation (weekly), participating in thyroid tumor board as thyroid surgeon organized every month at KIRAN hospital Karachi and attending different distances learning programs in the field of thyroid surgery.

Dr Ghansham Rawtani is very much concern regarding the complications, under treatment and over treatment of thyroid diseases. He is willing and determined to start a subspecialty training in this field in future so as to grow more young surgeons with thorough subject knowledge and well trained in surgery to serve the society with standard of care.
