Dr. Kheenpal Das is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi. He holds a Fellowship (FCPS) in Psychiatry and is an approved FCPS supervisor for the FCPS-II residency program in Psychiatry at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
Dr. Das is an International Certified Addiction Professional (ICAP-II) and a National Trainer for the Colombo Plan and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), where he conducts Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) trainings for addiction professionals across Pakistan.
His clinical expertise lies in the bio-psycho-social management of General Adult Psychiatry, with a special focus on self-harm management, suicide prevention, and addiction treatment. In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in teaching and training medical professionals, continuously working to update and enhance knowledge and skills in the field of psychiatry.
Dr. Das has played a significant role in research, having been an active member of a qualitative study on “Psychological Autopsy of Suicide Cases in District Tharparkar, Sindh”, conducted by the Sindh Mental Health Authority, Government of Sindh.
He has published research articles in indexed national and international journals and has conducted nationwide training sessions on the prevention and treatment of addiction, educating psychiatrists, medical doctors, psychologists, mental health nurses, and social workers.
