Dr. Muhammad Shahid Mustafa

Dr. Muhammad Shahid Mustafa is a U.S.-trained consultant neurologist with more than 27 years of experience in clinical neurology, electrodiagnostic medicine, and neurohospitalist care. He received his medical degree from Army Medical College, Rawalpindi, and completed his neurology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He went on to pursue fellowship training in electromyography (EMG) and electrodiagnostic medicine at the University of Houston Medical Center, Texas, and also completed a year of psychiatry residency at Austin State Hospital, Texas, further broadening his expertise in neuropsychiatric disorders.

Dr. Mustafa has served as Head of the Department of Neurology at Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad, and has worked as a neurohospitalist in multiple hospitals across the United States, where he managed a wide spectrum of acute and complex neurological conditions. His clinical interests include neuromuscular , stroke, headaches, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, sleep disorders, and spine-related disorders.

Committed to patient care, education, and advocacy, Dr. Shahid Mustafa actively contributes to community awareness initiatives on neurological health and remains engaged with advances in medical education and clinical practice.
