Dr. Saliha Ishaq

Dr. Saliha Ishaq is one of the top rheumatologists in Pakistan and one of the five American-trained rheumatologists in the country. She has many years of experience working in the USA, with most latest drugs and Biological therapies. Her expertise is in all kinds of Arthritis and Connective tissue disease, her special interest is Osteoporosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, and Ankylosing Spondylitis. She is a proud graduate of DOW Medical College, Karachi, from where she graduated with Honors. She pursued her Postgraduate Medical Training in USA., Residency in Internal Medicine, and later her Fellowship in Rheumatology for additional two years. She is Double American Board Certified.

She started Clinical practice, and later became CEO and Director of the practice, called NORTHSHORE RHEUMATOLOGY till 2009. In 2009, on her return to Pakistan, she was appointed Assistant Professor at AGA Khan University Hospital, where she served for three years as full-time Faculty. She is serving, as General Secretary of the Pakistan Society of Rheumatology. Also serves actively in CPSP (College of Physicians and Surgeons) in Pakistan and serves as their Examiner Common arthritis joint symptoms include swelling, pain, stiffness, and decreased range of motion. Symptoms may come and go. Some types of arthritis also affect the heart, eyes, lungs, kidneys, and skin as well as the joints. People commonly think of arthritis as an old people’s problem.
