Dr. Sobia Haqqi is an Associate Professor and Consultant Psychiatrist based in Karachi. She obtained membership (MCPS) in 2009 and fellowship (FCPS) a year later from the College of Physicians & Surgeons.

Her expertise is in Adult General Psychiatry and she is passionate about helping women who are adversely affected by mental health disorders.

Dr. Haqqi’s recent publications, both national and international (PubMed indexed), focus on depression, substance abuse and women related concerns. She has also acted as a reviewer for the European Journal of Public Health (2009), JPPS (2014), Women and Health (2015), Springer and Springer Open and Biomed Central Journals (2014-15) respectively. She has also worked as a trainer for the WHO (World Health Organization) Mental Health Gap Intervention Guide (MH GAP-IG).

Dr. Haqqi is also an Executive Council Member of the Pakistan Association of Social Psychiatry (PASP). She has also participated as a speaker at various national and international psychiatry conferences.

Dr. Haqqi regularly updates her clinical knowledge through CMEs, attachments and locums.
