Dr. Tariq Rafi
Prof. Dr. S.M. Tariq Rafi graduated in 1982 and joined Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre as Medical Officer, He did his F.C.P.S. & F.R.C.S. and became Professor of ENT at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre in 2001.
He has been the Convener, Examiner, and Paper Setter at the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) and has trained more than 100 students for F.C.P.S., M.S., and D.L.O.
He has more than twenty-nine publications in National and International Journals. He has been the Past President of the Society of ENT and Ex-President of the SAARC ENT Society and is now Dean of ENT at the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan and the Vice Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi.
His area of interest includes routine ENT Surgery which consists of the:
1) Tonsillectomy
2) Adenoidectomy.
3) Septoplasty
4) Tympanoplasty
5) Mastoidectomy
He specializes in ENT and head and neck procedures such as:
1) Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery for Nasal Polyps
2) Vocal Cord Surgery
3) Stapedectomy
4) Parotid Surgery
5) Thyroid Surgery
6) Surgery for Congenital Anomalies
7) Surgery for cancer of the mouth, Larynx, Oesophagus, Head, and Neck
