Dr. Arshad is a pediatric surgeon by training and his main interests include general, neonatal pediatric surgery, and pediatric urology. He performs single-port laparoscopic surgeries in children and his interest in pediatric urology extends to Hypospadias, pelvic-ureteric junction obstruction, and renal tumors. He also provides surgical care to neonates.

Dr. Arshad is an expert in pediatric rigid bronchoscopy and esophagoscopy. He has extensive experience removing foreign bodies from the airway and the esophagus. He has been involved in the surgical management of children with tumors.

He is an advocate for daycare surgery and prefers to perform procedures such as the repair of inguinal hernias, surgery for undescended testes, circumcisions, and esophageal dilatations as daycare procedures.
