Dr. Shuja is a Consultant & the Head of the Emergency Department at South City Hospital, Adults he has been trained and qualified in dealing with Pediatric emergencies, he has specialized in Emergency medicine from the UK and holds 2 boards, He is a Member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine  (M.R.C.E.M) London, UK and European Board in Emergency Medicine (E.B.C.E.M) Brussels, Belgium, and examiner for European Board In emergency Medicine exams conducted all around Europe.

Dr Shuja has taken extensive and various roles in teaching and training during his career, he also served as an honorary senior Lecturer for Hull and York Medical School. He was the lead in education and training the junior doctors, nurse practitioners, and student doctors at Lincolnshire Hospital and deputy clinical lead for the emergency medicine department in the NHS Trust. He has been involved in various research projects and is a Co-Author of a Clinical Biochemistry book taught as a syllabus around Europe. He is an instructor for Life support courses for ALS (Advance Life Support) and EPALS (European Pediatric Advance Life Support) validated by Resus Council UK.

He is a member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, European Society of Emergency Medicine, and British Association of Immediate Care membership (BASICS) providing pre-hospital emergency care, involved in sports medicine, and a Member of the English Boxing Association as a Level 2 Doctor, and member of the Pakistan Medical Commission.

Dr. Shuja is leading a team of dedicated ER doctors and nurses at South City Hospital emergency department using standard International guidelines and protocols. As a lead Consultant, he manages a variety of Critically unwell patients and acute medical/ surgical emergencies in ER, including Chest Pains, sepsis, road traffic accidents, falls, and various trauma-related injuries; he also performs minor surgical procedures in ER OT, fractures, and joint reductions under different nerve blocks, he has also been trained in Emergency Ultrasound performed in ER routinely, removal of Foreign bodies, leading resuscitation team during CPR, dealing with various infectious diseases in ER.

Along with inpatients, he is also running post-ER visits clinics routinely, dealing with follow-up of a wide variety of cases, he is available for advice and visits to the Emergency department at the South City Hospital.
