Limb Lengthening

Limbs can be severely affected as a result of birth defects, accidents, or infections. They can then become crooked or shortened. But the Ilizarov limb lengthening technique helps correct these difficulties. This technique allows a surgeon to correct a crooked or shortened limb by lengthening it several centimeters.
